| President's Message May 2010
Here we are at the
start of another Spring baseball season.
CFR executives have worked hard all winter to improve the experience
of Little League baseball for all CFR
families and players. This included
Newsletters and notices going out to all families.
With the changes made by the Executive, the evaluation process was streamlined and quicker than in the past. Special thanks to all involved who made this happen. The Coaches were able to draft their teams earlier this season and this enabled them to contact their players and get them and their families organized much quicker.
While we have had a few hiccups along the way, we are much more prepared out of the gate this season.
Several new volunteers have stepped up and taken over the responsibilities as convenors and this has allowed the Executive to concentrate our efforts on the little things that need our attention at this time of the year.
All of these extra efforts have resulted in more teams in our league and this means we are moving in the right direction.
We are currently running interlock schedules with Pinecrest Little League as they needed our assistance to make the experience for their families as first-rate as possible. We are interlocked with Pinecrest at the Rookie, Minor, and Major divisions. This also allows our players to play against different teams throughout the season.
All of these happenings are made possible by the volunteers involved with our league. While they are valued, we are constantly looking for more volunteers. If you are going to be at all of your childs games, why not volunteer as an Umpire. You will have the best seat in the house.
All joking aside, our organization is run solely by volunteers. Please get involved and make this a great experience for your child and yourself . Even if you volunteer for a simple one-time job, this will help us make things great.
Get involved, make CFR a fantastic experience for everyone!
